Preschool
It is the mission of the Salvation Army Child Development Center to help each preschooler to develop to his or her fullest potential. Professional staff will plan and monitor activities to help children develop emotionally, physically, socially, and cognitively. We encourage active learning through diverse organized play, nurturing interactions, and exploration in a safe, predictable environment just for young children.
Program Goals
- We provide a safe & caring environment where children are free to discover, experience, and gain a variety of skills and knowledge.
- We assist each child in developing a positive sense of self worth.
- We help each child become an effective problem solver while developing self-confidence.
- We provide nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with the California Department of Education–Child Care Food Program.
- We offer referrals for families who need special services to our on-site “Family Services” department
